Race Pace was started by Feildings Scott Brooker. Scotty’s been involved in the motorcycle industry for more than ten years. He started out working as a mechanic in Palmerston North. Racing motox and cross country events every given chance.

In 2004, Scotty was given the opportunity to travel to the UK to work with his good friend Paul Whibley in the World Enduro Championship. In this time Scotty became friends with soon to be World Enduro Champion, David Knight.

2007 saw Scotty move to Wales to be the sole mechanic taking care of 45 BMW touring bikes at the BMW Offroad School.  After a year in Wales, Scotty found himself with another great opportunity, to become David Knight’s personal mechanic for the Factory Red Bull KTM Race Team.

Scotty moved to the Isle of Man, where he would prepare bikes and test with Knighter. In 2008, Knight would compete in the US GNCC series. But be based at home in the Isle of Man. This meant a lot of travel, 16 Trans Atlantic flights in all that year.

A lot of work but with it came great success. US EnduroX championship, GBXC championship, Tough one, World Indoor Enduro Championship and the US Grand National Cross Country Championship.

The following Year Scotty and Knight moved to the Factory BMW Motorad Team to develop the new G450X in the WEC. This was a pretty amazing experience. Scotty worked with some highly experienced technician, and two of the top offroad riders in the world.  He came away with some valuable knowledge.

After parting company with BMW, Scotty moved to Ohio America to offer his mechanical skills to US GNCC point’s leader Paul Whibley. Teamed up again, Whibley won the next three races in a row, and won the prestige’s GNCC series in 2009.

Now Scotty has returned home to New Zealand after six years of travelling the world as a professional race mechanic at the highest level. Scotty’s looking forward to offering New Zealand customers quality new products and advice to share his knowledge in the industry.
